Topic: Innovation Incentives and Your IP – A Timely Reminder
With the recent release of the Ambitious Australia report from the Strategic Examination of Research and Development (SERD) panel, now is an opportune time to revisit the intersection of innovation incentives and intellectual property strategy. As the Federal Government's most enduring financial support for innovative development, the R&D Tax Incentive plays a critical role in how businesses develop and commercialise their IP. While the Government is still considering the SERD panel's recommendations, the report is a timely reminder for businesses to review how they are maximising the benefit of the R&D Tax Incentive as they build and protect their competitive advantage.
