Our Speakers:
Gaby Cowcill is the Manager of Patents and Designs at IPONZ.
She has 14 years of experience working in government IP offices, both in
the United Kingdom and in New Zealand. Gaby began her career as a
patent examiner at UK IPO and later immigrated to New Zealand. She has
been working at IPONZ since 2017 and became the Manager, Patents and
Designs in 2021. Gabby has a science and law background with a Bachelors
in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol and a Post-Graduate
Diploma in IP Law from the University of South Wales, UK.
Nick
Solomon is the ANZ IP Solution Consultant at Clarivate. He has over 17
years’ experience in the IP industry. Nick has led a range of directives
for the ANZ territory including conducting, coordinating, scoping and
planning high-level insightful analytics and metrics. Nick also engages
in competitive intelligence and evaluating emerging technologies to
build a holistic IP information approach to help Australasian businesses
achieve their goals. Nick is responsible for training and education in
relation to the various IP software solutions for the Australasia
region.
